The Vikings re-signed Jones to the practice squad Tuesday.
Analysis: Jones was cut from Minnesota's practice squad late August, but he now rejoins the team. During the preseason, the undrafted rookie out of Maryland recorded four catches (on eight targets) for 53 yards across three preseason games.

The Vikings waived Jones from the practice squad Thursday, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports.
Analysis: Jones and running back DeWayne McBride will cede their spots on the Vikings' practice squad to tackle Ricky Lee and running back Zavier Scott. Jones signed with Minnesota in April as an undrafted free agent, but he wasn't able to survive the training camp roster cuts after registering four catches (on eight targets) for 53 yards across three preseason games. Jones will look to catch onto a practice squad elsewhere.
